Ⅰ.What is associated gas?

Petroleum associated gas is a kind of oilfield waste gas produced during the crude oil extraction process. Its main components include methane, ethane, propane, butane, and small amounts of hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, etc. The traditional treatment methods are mostly torch burning or venting, which not only pose safety hazards but also cause energy waste and environmental pollution.

Ⅱ.How does the Kelinyuan gas generator set respond?

Based on the characteristics of associated gas such as large fluctuations in composition, high impurity content and low pressure, we have developed a gas power generation system customized for oil and gas fields. The core advantages include:

1.Strong gas adaptability: The unit can operate stably in various gas environments with low calorific value and high sulfur content.

2.Wide power range: 300kW to 4000kW, meeting the power demands of different oilfield scales;

3.Modular design: Suitable for remote oil Wells and unattended scenarios, facilitating rapid deployment;

4.Significant energy conservation and emission reduction: Converting the originally wasted associated gas into reusable electrical and thermal energy.

Ⅲ.Six-step Detailed Explanation of the Process Flow

1️ Oil well produced

During the crude oil extraction process, natural gas (associated gas) containing hydrocarbons and impurities is produced simultaneously.

2️ Oil and gas separation

The oil, gas and water are separated by a three-phase separator to obtain the original associated gas.

3️ Gas purification treatment

Desulfurization, decarbonization, dehydration and other technologies are used to remove impurities such as hydrogen sulfide, CO₂ and moisture, thereby improving the quality of gas.

4️ Gas compression

Compress the purified gas to a pressure value suitable for the combustion of the generator set.

5️ Gas-fired power generation

The associated gas enters the gas generator set and drives the generator to output electrical energy through combustion in the internal combustion engine.

6️ Electricity utilization

The electricity generated can be used for self-consumption in the oilfield (such as oil extraction, lighting, and heating) or connected to the local microgrid system.

Ⅳ.Conclusion:

Gas generator sets generate electricity using associated gas from petroleum. They not only have extremely high economic efficiency but also significantly enhance the energy self-sufficiency capacity of oil fields, achieving the triple goals of environmental protection, energy conservation and cost reduction. They are a strong support for the future development of the oil and gas industry.
